What am I going to be doing overseas? I'll be in school at the University of Bonn, hopefully studying fiercely. I have to take some language proficiency tests, and I'm really banking on displaying some significant competency so that I can enroll in actual University classes instead of just taking German studies courses from the international center. If that works out, not only would I take some kind of biology or chemistry course, but I could possible work in a chemistry lab, too! Yeah yeah, save your groans, it's what I like to do, and it'd be an amazing opportunity, quite the feather to stick in my hat if I choose to continue on in chemistry
Speaking of chemistry, that's what I'm doing at Ripon right now. My scholarship here entitles me to 10 weeks of paid research in the science department, so that's what's occupying my hours. You'll find me in Farr Hall between the hours of 9 and 7 almost every week day. For those who are curious, I'm performing organometallic synthesis, which is the typical organic chemistry plus a bit of metal chemistry. It's cool : )
That's all I have to say for now! I wish you all the best, and I hope that you continue to follow me through my adventures.

Just got done reading all of your posts and it was great to have a more thorough explanation of some of your already-occurring transitions to Bonn than I got from chatting with you your first week. How great! I sometimes wish I had the gaul to go to some of the French bars, but I don't think Bonnie would be up for it, and I have dinner with Madame from 8-whenever. However, perhaps I'll have to break out of the mold and go anyway even if it means that I have to pay for the quite expensive French dinner :)
Later boi (again, sounds like bwah to me)
